How to file a claim:

It’s easy and efficient to report a lost item(s). Click the “Continue” button provided at the top or bottom of the page.

Once the form is submitted, information regarding your lost items will be accessible by Lost and Found staff. You will receive a confirmation email that your report has been sent to the Lost and Found Office. This is an automated reply only.

Once you submit information for the lost items, it will be entered into our tracking system for processing during the next business cycle. A Lost and Found team member will search the system for possible matching found items. Within three (3) business days, you will be sent a follow-up email with a reference number if we locate items we believe belong to you. Please refer to this reference number in any interactions you have with us regarding your lost items. To ensure that you receive a reply, please add the address Lost.Found@wcaa.us to your “trusted sender” list on your home computer or office email system.

Please note – You will only be contacted when we locate items matching the description you gave. That’s why it’s important to be as specific as possible with your description (i.e. size, design, color, style, brand name or logo, unique markings, etc.) of the lost items. If you are not contacted it means that your items were not recovered. Detroit International Airport Lost and Found makes every attempt to return lost items to their rightful owners, but we are not responsible for any lost items and cannot guarantee their return.
